Today is my husband’s birthday. So for language today I thought I’d share how to sing the Happy Birthday song in Korean.
생일 축하합니다 / (saeng-il chukahamnida)
생일 축하합니다 / (saeng-il chukahamnida)
사랑하는 NAME씨 / (saranghaneun NAME shi)
생일 축하합니다 / (saeng-il chukahamnida)
www.youtube.com/watch?v=QtidPY5TgVo&feature=related This link is to a YouTube video where you’ll hear a longer version of the song above. The shorter version above is the one I’ve heard song at Korean birthday parties, including our son’s first birthday, but in this video you’ll hear how to pronounce the main words in the shorter version.
www.youtube.com/watch?v=fFFhE2kSZFM&feature=fvw This YouTube video will show you how to say and write Happy Birthday in all three levels of Korean honorifics.
Finally, I’ll learn to sing it in Korean!
Thank you for posting this

Thanks! Does the saranghaneun mean lovable? Or loving? Or we love you?

Sarang is “love” but in this case it’s translate “lovely.” “Neun” is the topic marking particle and doesn’t have a meaning. I hope that helps!
