I was recently introduced to this Web site (www.olce.org/publications.html) through one of the online communities that I participate in. It’s a Korean Cultural Heritage program that was put together by the Chicago Public School System. The program includes eight chapters, which include lesson plans, information, worksheets, and activities, to be done with students in first through third grades.
The subject matter covers history, national monuments, geography, famous Korean Americans, and more. The chapters are provided in PDF format and each file is between 25 and 70 pages.
This would be a great program do with your kids at home or in a classroom. If you’re interested in teaching about other cultures as well, this site provides resources on them as well.
