Do you have a burning question about something related to Korea or Korean culture? Then this is the Web site for you! Ask a Korean is a blog put together by a Korean-American man who lives in New York City. The Korean, as he refers to himself, answers questions that are e-mailed to him by readers.
You can learn how he basically taught himself English, why there are hard feelings between Koreans and Japanese, why all Asians look alike, and if Koreans really eat dog, just to name a few.
The blog does have an extensive archive that could keep you busy reading for a while. But if you’re not sure where to start, the Korean has a list of popular questions that he’s answered as well as a list of his favorite posts. You’ll find those lists in the column on the right side of the blog.
With so much to learn about another culture, we’ve found this resource to be a good one. If you’re sensitive to crude language, beware that sometimes it is used in the answers that are posted.
